The Lettuce leaf with Snail

“Alfacinha”, meaning little lettuce, is a word long used to describe the inhabitants of Lisbon. It is said that this term dates back to the 19^th century, a time when the residents of Lisbon started wearing elaborate collars, resembling little lettuces.

Each piece is hand-finished and, thus, different from all the others. Therefore, any irregularity or colour variation in our tableware is due to the craftsmanship involved in its production process.
