Made by a master potter whose family has been in the business for over 200 years, these pieces mix a contemporary feel with traditional techniques. Wheel-thrown terracotta plates are partly dipped in a white clay slip.

Made by a pottery in the Alentejo area of Portugal, these terracotta bowls are prized for their hard-to-find black and white design and the fact that each is hand-thrown and hand-decorated.

Each cheese plate is first thrown as a flat disc on the potter's wheel, before being cut into a rectangular shape, and with a circle cut to allow the piece to be hung. It is then dried in the Alentejo sun before being first fired. It's then dipped in white clay, glazed and then fired a second time. ‘Perfectly imperfect’ - some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the pieces.
