The first glass producing factory – A Real Fábrica de Vidros da Marinha Grande – was established by the Marquis of Pombal in 1769. Since then many factories have maintained the regions secular tradition. They produce high quality mouth blown glass.

The Depósito da Marinha Grande, with their vast variety of products, keeps up their tradition, introducing innovative techniques in the production of this sustainable, yet noble product.

MARGARIDA FABRICA is a portuguese brand of ceramics, created by the designer Margarida M. Fernandes since 2010.

Margarida's work has been inspired, most of the time, in the kitchen atmosphere and in all that is relatively to this basic need of life - food and cooking.

The interest in collect objects from the past, has influenced and enriched her craft production.

Created to last but over time cracks normal cracks may appear.

Wash by hand, never use boiled water directly on pieces, avoid big temperature contrasts (hot or cold)

Portugal's ceramics company Bordallo Pinheiro has a long and exciting history that began with the artist and 19th century political disruptor, Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro. A major influencer back then.

In 1884, he began a ceramics production in Caldas and the award winning and much copied home wares of Bordallo Pinheiro were born.

At Bordallo Pinheiro, the Leaf collections are more verdant than those in a hot house including sublime banana leaves. You don’t have to fill these leaf-themed dishes with vegetables and salads but it certainly adds a nourishing appeal.
