In 1884, he began a ceramics production in Caldas and the award winning and much copied home wares of Bordallo Pinheiro were born.
At Bordallo Pinheiro, the Leaf collections are more verdant than those in a hot house including sublime banana leaves. You don’t have to fill these leaf-themed dishes with vegetables and salads but it certainly adds a nourishing appeal.

Visit product page →Each piece is thrown on the potter's wheel and is then dried in the Alentejo sun before being first fired. It's then dipped in white clay, glazed and then fired a second time. The pottery is family-owned and has been in business for over 200 years.Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the piecesCare: Hand wash recommended. ** Prior to first use, all pieces should be washed by hand in hot soapy water, well rinsed and allowed to air dry. To maintain the integrity of the pieces (i.e. colour, glaze), dishwasher use is not recommended.

These pillow cushion covers are woven by hand, made of recycled thread from the fashion industry (the same material used for Casa Cubista rugs), and are made south of Porto.
Each is stitched at the side seam with a zipper at the centre-back. Cushions are sold without a fill, and fit a standard 65cm insert. The Ikea inner cushion, 65cm x 65cm, is recommended.
Care: All products can be washed cold and allowed to air dry, or dry cleaned. Loose threads can be trimmed.
